Accredited Exercise Physiology - 100% Telehealth

Movement that works with your body, not against it.

Energise Physiology offers specialised Exercise Physiology for people navigating POTS, hypermobility, Long COVID, and CFS/ME.

Conditions I Specialise In

Who I help

Specialised, considered movement for bodies that don't follow the standard rules.

🪴

POTS & Dysautonomia

A racing heart, dizziness on standing, and exhaustion that doesn't match your activity level. Movement can help - when it's done right.

🦵

Hypermobility / hEDS

Joints that overextend, pain that's hard to explain, and a body that needs very specific loading to build strength safely.

🦠

Long COVID

Crashes after activity, unpredictable fatigue, and a nervous system that doesn't follow the rules. Careful, calibrated movement makes the difference.

🔋

CFS / ME

Energy that runs out without warning and boom-and-bust cycles that leave you worse. Real pacing - not just "do less" - is the starting point.

What Makes Energise Different

You've been doing everything right. So why isn't it working?

Most people I work with followed the advice they were given and still crashed. It wasn't their fault - the advice wasn't built for their nervous system.

01 - Specialist, not general

Built for your nervous system

Standard exercise advice is built for healthy, regulated nervous systems. POTS, Long COVID, and CFS bodies don't follow the rules, so the approach has to be different.

02 - Pacing done properly

A plan for every kind of day

Pacing isn't just "do less." It means having a thoughtful Plan A for good days and a Plan B for bad ones, so there's always a safe, purposeful option.

03 - Honesty, not promises

Realistic, respectful care

I won't promise a cure. But I'll be honest about what's possible, work hard with the knowledge I have, and adjust when things don't go to plan.

Hi, I'm Jess

Accredited Exercise Physiologist - BExPhys, AEP, ESSAM

I created Energise Physiology specifically so that people anywhere could access proper, specialised support for POTS, hypermobility, Long COVID, and CFS/ME - without having to leave their home. Everything I do is online, and I work with people of all ages.

Outside of work I love spending time with my dog, and I'm a very serious bookworm. If you ever want a recommendation, ask me!

Most importantly, I genuinely believe that movement can change lives, even when your body is being difficult.

Why This Work Matters to Me

Meet Sarah and Deb - my inspiration for starting Energise

This isn't a condition I found in a textbook. My best friend Sarah was diagnosed with POTS. And my mentor Deb has Long COVID and POTS herself. Watching both of them finally gain some control over their symptoms through movement - after years of being dismissed - was one of the most profound things I've witnessed.

The Moment That Changed My Approach

Why I built the framework

I had a client who was doing everything right on paper — resting when needed, attempting gentle movement, following advice from people who genuinely wanted to help. And she was still crashing. One day her mum asked: "We are trying so hard. Why isn't anything working?" That question stayed with me. I went back to the research and built something better. Not a rigid program, but a framework that could flex with the condition, with a plan for good days and a plan for bad days.

Built for dysregulated systems

Standard exercise advice isn't designed for autonomic dysfunction. Once I understood that, everything changed. The framework I use accounts for delayed crashes, fluctuating capacity, and nervous system sensitivity.

Less severe crashes, more predictable good days

Over time, the crashes became less frequent. The good days became more predictable. People started to feel like they had some control back. That's what I want for everyone I work with.

The right team matters

POTS, Long COVID and hEDS rarely travel alone. I work collaboratively with GPs, specialists, physios and OTs, because communication across a care team is what produces the best outcomes.

The POTS Wellness Club

A community built for people navigating POTS and Long COVID - because managing a dysregulated nervous system is a lot easier when you're not doing it alone. This isn't a general wellness group. It's a space designed specifically around how your body works, led by someone who understands why standard advice doesn't cut it.

There's also a dedicated section for parents and carers - because supporting someone with POTS or Long COVID comes with its own set of challenges, and you deserve a space too.

The first 20 people to register interest get 6 months completely free. If that sounds like something you need, put your name down now.

Register your interest below and we'll be in touch with everything you need to know.

FAQ

Questions you probably have

This community has often been let down, dismissed, or given advice that wasn't built for their body. Here's exactly what to expect from Energise.

No referral needed. You can book a free discovery call directly - no GP visit required first.
The variability of POTS and chronic illness is exactly why a proper baseline matters. We don't wait for a perfect window. Good days and bad days aren't a barrier - they're the data we need. Start whenever you're ready.
That makes complete sense, and I hear it constantly. Standard exercise advice is built for healthy, regulated nervous systems. POTS, Long COVID, and CFS bodies respond differently - especially with delayed crashes that happen a day or two later. The approach here accounts for all of that. The first exercises are actually diagnostic - we're observing how your body responds and adjusting in real time. You won't be doing this alone.
This is something we plan for from the start. Sessions can be shortened, restructured, or rescheduled. In many cases, a bad day is actually a really useful session - we can discuss what triggered it and how to respond.
Different training, different scope. As an Exercise Physiologist, I focus specifically on how movement interacts with autonomic dysfunction and chronic illness. I complement your existing team - I don't replace them.

The Clinical Approach

Evidence-based exercise prescription for autonomic dysfunction. The approach I use is grounded in current evidence for exercise in autonomic dysfunction, specifically the importance of avoiding upright positioning in early stages, incremental progression, and symptom-guided pacing.

I use objective measures - heart rate response, symptom scoring, and activity logs - to track progress and adjust the program. This means you receive meaningful clinical data when I report back to the team.

  • Recumbent and supported exercise progressions before upright loading
  • Pacing frameworks with Plan A (higher capacity) and Plan B (symptomatic days)
  • Symptom tracking integrated across the week, not just session by session
  • Boom-and-bust cycle identification and interruption
  • Heart rate and blood pressure monitoring where appropriate
  • Written program summaries available for your records on request

Referrals can be made via a standard referral letter, GP Management Plan, or simply by encouraging your patient to book a free discovery call directly. No formal paperwork is required.
